Ah, so young and yet wise enough to know:
“Mom, I know nothing about women.”
Very, very sweet story.
Ah, Chloe has a sweet evil streak, letting that 220 pounds of man 'streak' about on his rescue mission.
Very funny story...
This is the most burdensome gift of the yellow sun. It gives him the means, and therefore the responsibility, to choose.
Clark visiting Chloe's dorm in early season five for just hanging out… and gets a little more than he bargained for.
How very very sad, made me ache with sorrow for them. Excellent writing, felt the emotion in each word.
Clark apologizes to Chloe after Lex and Lana's engagement party. Written as a missing scene in Crimson.
And with her sweet and tolerant understanding of Clark's moping ways, I would say that Chloe has a few extra plusses after her 'human-ness' (not sure if there is such a word...)
Loved this story; excellent details of all the emotions behind The Look and how Clark tries to understand the reasons for each person he gets it from.
And so perfect how Chloe knows just how to put it in context and not make it a huge negative issue that he never gets past.
Thank you for sharing.
So very sad that Clark's guilt followed him into his dreams to create a new world where he could change the outcome of his actions.
Such excellent writing. Thank you for sharing.
Chloe's made Clark late and the world will never be the same.
Even after they finally decided to embark on a relationship based on the events of "House Arrest," Chloe, being as stubborn as she is, has always been unable to believe that her relationship with Clark is the real deal. However, when her cat gets sick, Clark proves without even trying that Chloe is his future.
Wow. I didn't think it was possible for you to make HA end more perfectly; but this little sequel proved me wrong.
What a sweet story...so glad you shared.
Maybe you could post it on that other site also, lots of Chlarkers there need this desperately!
Chloe struggles with her crumbling relationship with Jimmy during a time of change and upheaval. Clark struggles with juggling both his hero and everyday duties. In the midst of this tumultuous period in their lives, they seek solace in the strength of their friendship and take a much-needed vacation together, a cruise. But on the high seas, away from their problems, they decide to cross the friendship boundary and change their relationship forever.
Wow. This was heartwrenching. So much detail of the reality of everyday life...just the stack of bills alone was frightening!
You know, by the time I get done reading all these awesome chapters (I'm a slow reader and your chapters are sooo beautifully long), you're probably going to get bored of hearing this, but I love your attention to all the small details.
And I really liked this line, don't ask me why, it just totally appealed to me that Clark said it:
[quote]: Clark made a face. “Why do girls blab all their business to each other?” he said irritably. [quote]
Really great story...
Haha, Sue likes that line, too!
I love your taking the time to tell me how you are enjoying the story. It's so nice to hear.
Yay, Martha; great advice, he did need a break. But what I liked best is that Clark wanted Chloe to go along and that HE ASKED HER!!! And she didn't even think to say no! I was soooo impressed.
Investigative, curious reporter to the end; not letting anything like a vacation get in her way.
I have only been on one cruise vacation and you seem to have described it quite well...the endless food; made me hungry just to read about it; and the non-stop activity choices... I think you've made me realize it's time for a vacation.
Loved the sleepy floater scene.
But first, on to the next chapter: very curious about this thief...
I have acutally never been on a cruise, I had to pump my LJfriends list for research purposes! One of my flisters in particular LOVES them and has been on three or four- as thanks I gave a shout-out and let her and her boyfriend win the couples' game, hee.
The sleepy floater chapter actually was on the cutting room floor when I was worried about the length, but I re-added it because I thought it was important to show just how much they can be themselves around each other. It's also a shout-out to Tobywolf, whose Daddy Clark floats, and I think it's so cute.
Completely adored jealous Clark, tossing that Mr Good Dancer's phone number in the trash; I cheered!
Whoa! Was there green-K liquid in that sushi sauce? Is the friend from Smallville not a friend? He tried to warn Clark; very intriguing...
Hurrying off to read the next chapter.
I loved how Chloe is taking care of Clark.
Very, very sexy chapters. And funny, too: "... the energizer bunny..."
"Clark is right, Chloe thought. We’re really not that complicated."
I'm almost afraid to read the last chapter... I so don't want them to make it complicated again...
Awesome story... your attention to details didn't stop at their exploration of their feelings and fears for each other.
