I didn't bother watching this one, to be honest. I did see some clips of it on YouTube, and I didn't care for what I saw. The acting, as usual, was great, but it was the subject matter. It's not surprising to me, considering this is a Souders/Peterson episode, and they seem like Clanarchists of the worst kind.

Yeah, I watched it.

Okay, I guess, judging by the gloves Kara was wearing, that Clark finally got some part of blending in through to her. However, that segue/pun/whatever she pulled about the whole playing field/sky bit sucked hard, IMO. Also, that twitch-y, back and forth thing she did with her eyes during it got on my nerves. I did like the whole Brainiac as a bird thing, though.

Speaking of Brainiac; when I hear his voice, I think of Harry Dresden. I guess whatever gets me through the show, right? Given his focus on the bracelet and his insistence that he needed her means that whatever he needs the bracelet for, he needs her to operate it somehow. See, I r smrt!!!

Just a question, Clark says he destroyed Zod. Why am I under the impression, then, that in that episode, he only got rid of him? Maybe I have faulty memory. It occasionally happens.

What can I say about the Lois and Jimmy scenes? Well, they're both idiots, and Jimmy's a horndog. Also, both Jimmy and Lionel, either directly or indirectly, did all of Lois' research for her. Also, Jimmy's turning out to be more of a reporter than her. Hey, if the Chlois option doesn't pan out, maybe we can have Jimmy become ILL!! He'll have to get over his aversion to all things Clark Kent first.

Lex's Lady Minion seems to be in love with him. I'm kinda in love with her for it. She gives us a way to hear what's going on with Lex and helps explain some of what's going on with him. Also, when Lex came out of his flash back, she looked like she was about to say, "I'm sorry, sir, what was that? I was busy staring at your ass." Or, maybe I'm just projecting.

Speaking of flashbacks; the only thing I could really think during them was, "The symbolism was strong with these ones." After all, we have the obvious Oliver with the bow and arrow and where the kids hid. But, we also have mine!Lex play with/controlling a superhero in a blue uniform with a red cape. Guess he's been wanting that for a long time. As for Lionel putting a clip on tie on mini!Lex? I call OOC. Do you agree?

Now Lana. Excuse me for shuddering a minute. The scene with her and Brainiac had me giggling. You wanna know why? All I could picture was them taping that scene with JM going doing that how 'I'm not touching you' thing kids do.

I gotta wonder if Brainiac has to directly hook up to something to drain the power. If so, I can just picture someone catching him at it.

In that last scene, Brainiac looks kinda disappointed in Clark. He also looks like a strung out heroin addict. I'm right there with him. In the disappointment, not the strung out addict bit.

Basically, it was a sucky episode. Not as bad as Promise, but not all that good. I think I was able to get through it because my brother was watching A Few Good Men in the other room.

Oh great, you just gave me a plot bunny that involves a special form a Kryptonite that turns people into the opposite gender. I'd say it'd be pink only pink in the comics makes Kryptonians temporarily and stereotypically gay.

I was with you on everything but the giggling. I think I'm the last Lana Lang fan in existence, or at least I'm a fan of what she could have been on the show.

I wasn't giggling at what happened to her. As much as I dislike the character, I wasn't over-joyed with what happened to her. Not only because I don't relish the idea of someone basically be trapped in their own body, but because it was really unnecessary, IMO.

I also figured out something that stumped me at first.

When the Veritas group was talking about how people had sacrificed themselves for generations to protect the secret, at first all I could think was, "How the hell would they know that Krypton would be destroyed and Clark would come to earth?"

Then, I realized it was something more along the lines of the cave-stories about a Kryptonian would return, and had nothing to do with Clark specifically.

It's nice to know the writers didn't flub that up so terribly.

I really enjoyed this episode, but I don't really understand why they called it "Veritas". It should have been called "LANARAMA" b/c that's basically what it was.
Though, a vast majority of the SV episodes could be renamed Lanarama, so that wouldn't work.

I was IN LOVE with Itty!Ollie, Itty!Lex, and Itty!DeanJason. Their little sweaters, parted hair, and QUIVERS were just precious.

Also, you can't go wrong with a good Spikeiac episode.

& Allison looked a m a z i n g, as always.

I will admit that I giggled and squealed in places where giggling and squealing weren't intended, but I've never been the biggest Lana fan, so...
The last scene was quite sad. It tugged @ my Chlarkish heartstrings quite a bit. :|

It would be really scary to be trapped in your own body. That would be horrible, especially if you decided to fry your hand and couldn't stop yourself. D:

I was annoyed that Lana's exit was so martyr-like. She's done sooooooo many horrendous things. I think a huge Clana explosion, and her storming back off to Paris sounded like a better plan, no?

I'm not going to lie, I did laugh when Brainiac did that thingy to Lana. I thought it was pretty darn funny. Honestly, Lana getting pwned period by someone is pretty funny to me.

I loved loved LOVED the Clionel and Chlionel. The way Chloe pushed Lionel off of her when he grabbed her like that. That scene was ELECTRIC! JG and AM always have the best scenes together.

The Lois and Jimmy stuff was laughable at best. And Jimmy is a total skeeze. Think Isis is sexy? No. just no. And the obvious gawking at Lois' boobs.UGH. Chloe does not need that.

Their scenes also showed me why Allison MUST return in season 8. The Adventures of  BDIT, Boobstein, and Panda Boy is not something I want to witness.

Did anyone else just LOVE the little giggle Brainiac gave when Lana tried to squirm away. He like bobbed his head from side to side and giggled, as if thinking "yeah, as if". I laughed so hard! Cheesy

Braniac is so deliciously evil. Clark is an even larger BDA after believing that Braniac would fix Lana if Kara went with him.

That sounds like a good thing but it would be really stupid for that to be true when we were given nothing to tell us that.

Nice post, Tonya!

I was expecting more from Veritas given it was the supposedly the season finale before the writers strike was resolved.  But, it seemed all jumpy and fragmented to me.  Oh wait...that's the way SV season finales are.  Following on the heels of Traveler, it just didn't measure up.

I didn't care for Lex's memories.  It was not necessary.  We knew as much from what Swann said last epi.  OK. Maybe do 1 scene.  The second one before they take the helicopter ride to Smallville.  A bit of retcon for the diehards.

I liked Lex's assistant.  Does she have a name?  Now that Lex is 1-D evil, I think he needs a secondary story line.  Maybe with the assistant.  Hehe!  I don't particularly like Lex nowadays.  Lex was so much more interesting during Clex.

Lionel was OOC for me.  His lines were horrible.  Spit it out man!  I get he's desperate.  But, somehow I think a desperate Lionel would be more calculating than incoherent.  And, I didn't get his scene with Chloe at all.  He already failed with Clark.  What was the point of failing again with Chloe?

I enjoyed the Lois and Jimmy fluff.  I'm sure the writers were going for iconic.  But, I actually think it made them look stupid.  The whole point of all that scoobying was so Jimmy could show Lionel the morgue photo of Swann.  And, to utter his stupid "Sexy" referring to Lana's ISIS computers.   Roll Eyes

Brainiac was the best.  I'm sorry LV fans, but JM simply blew her away in their scenes together.

...I think I'm the last Lana Lang fan in existence, or at least I'm a fan of what she could have been on the show.

I'm a S7 Lana fan.  This is the best Lana ever.  I never enjoyed Lana before  but I think that's because of Clana.  I could never believe in the pairing.  Show never gave me anything to believe they enjoyed each other's company.  But, Lana is my favorite character this season.  She's had the best story lines so far.  First, her ambiguity from the early S7 epis.  Then, Wrath when she finally says what's been on her mind.  In the barn convo she has with Clark at the end she cuts him off for taking blame for her actions and basically tells him she just wants to know he loves her no matter what.  Then, Persona when she realizes that she loves Biz not Clark.  The make-up scene Clana have at the end of Siren.  "I stole a Lamborghini".   Where he concedes that it's not easy living with someone like him that has a dual life.  Right on the heels of the Lois' monologue about not being to put up with Ollie's double life. Lana tells him that she's committed to their relationship and tells Clark she doesnt think he thinks she's the one he'll end up with.  And, Clark basically tells her he doesnt know what the future will be.  I was thinking to myself.  That's not what she wants to hear.  That's not what Biz would have said.

I totally get this Lana.

Chlarkana is really strong this season. Chloe's last scene in Veritas.  Now that Lana leg is done, I wonder how the Chloe leg will play out.  When Clark said it wasn't easy for someone to live with him because of his secret, I was thinking how about Chloe?  LOL
