They have jobs to do, so they have to wait.
Clark Kent is six years younger than Chloe Sullivan; What happens when he meets the pretty blonde on a journalistic venture in Smallville? Why, she drags the cute "kid" along with her.
When Clark rescues a traumatised Chloe as she flees from Davis, they share a passionate and emotional encounter which reveals the depth of their feelings for each other. But their reunion is short-lived as an abandoned and obsessed Doomsday goes on the rampage, causing death to several including Jimmy. Wracked with guilt, Clark departs for his training in the Arctic with Jor-El, turning his back on the woman he loves. But he left behind a whole lot more than he could have ever dreamed possible…
Chlark: as they were, are and ever should be.
"So when you come back, maybe it would be a good idea for you and I to take a little step back. To try to get along without relying on each other so much." Chloe thinks about the "Vessel" kiss.
This story is broken into two parts. Section 1 is a series of vignettes. Three times when Clark does think about Chloe that way (though he'd deny it) and one time when a small change changes everything. Section 2 takes some of the events in Unsafe and rewrites the episode as a Chlarky replacement. (Sorry, no RedK sexy time, but on the upside, no time wasted on Lana deciding if she should give Jason her flower.) Clark and Chloe’s evening is interrupted by a plea for help from Alicia Baker that ultimately brings them closer together…cause that is how I roll!
Clark is dead, and Chloe tells their child about him.
Chloe makes the ultimate sacrifice for Clark. Clark makes the ultimate sacrifice for the world.
Chloe isn't this world's Lois Lane.
Clark falls for Chloe, but she's not completely over Jimmy.
